Bug

Bug (moeepaws) is my current and only partner, and since it is her birthday, I have decided to dedicate a shrine page to her! I love you bug and happy 23rd birthday :3. Over the last 4 years Bug has been a stalwart friend and lover!

Me and Bug met each other in freshman year, everyday waiting for the bus at the end of the day. In all honesty I don't remember ever having a class with her unfortunately, this is likely due to me being fast-tracked through classes and having opposite interests (I did engineering classes while she did art). Regardless, the end of the day was a big social hour for me as I got to catch up with the weirdos that hung out in the corner of the bus stop. As time went on me and Bug conversated more and more. I'll admit I had a very awkward approach, but I ended up developing a crush for her by then. I actually specifically remember getting the courage to message her on Instagram, and I blew it by sending her memes everyday. One day I had just finished watching devil man crybaby, and I talked with her about it, and I remember being pretty surprised when a couple of days later she had actually watched the show!

We had really ramped up in junior/senior year when I noticed she had posted on her IG story that a friend group had opened up a discord server for gaming. I gained courage again and joined it, it contained a good amount of friends and it was honestly an enjoyable server! The friend group met up eventually and we all ate at a restaurant, and it felt good to be out and about with friends! You might notice that it would be about 3 years since me and Bug started talking at this point, and its the truth. Both of us had crushes and neither of us had the courage to fess up until the last minute. That last minute being a school dance. I remember I was doing some particularly silly antics, picking up glowsticks and handing them over like some kind of bird. Later that night she texted me and told me her feelings, thats when we started dating.

Our relationship picked up slow, our first movie we watched was sheep and wolves over discord, just a random silly cartoon movie as an icebreaker. Then we had dates, the first of which was to see the movie "Dog", which in all honesty wasn't the greatest movie ever, but it was a really cute date. Our second date was more memorable as we walked around downtown and enjoyed the sights, checking geo caches that had been left around! Our first kiss was after a picnic date that we had. Our dates just continued after that, we played bug-snax together, we went to kings island, had our first renn fair. She was there for me when I worked at Wal-Mart (arguably my lowest), the entirety of my associates degree journey, working in IT, and even now as I'm unemployed at the moment!

If I had to describe Bug: talented, funny, cute, a bug, strong willed, and resilient! Her art is amazing and she continues to push out brilliantly soft and moe 2d pieces, and she has done a lot in terms of music too, as she is an amazing DJ and even collaborates with Vylet Pony! Bug has pushed me really to pursue art in a way I wasn't really going to before I met her. She brought out the true side of me that I had kept down in high school. I would argue that my life's course was altered significantly by her presence (don't mistake this for unhealthy reliance). I hope that the next year or so, we can move in together and really start an amazing life living amongst ourselves.
